CarryPorter Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CarryPorter mobile application ("App"), operated by Travelcafe Travel and Visa Services ("CarryPorter," "we," "us," or "our"), registered at 578 Udyog Vihar, Phase 5, Gurgaon, Haryana 122001, India.

By creating an account or using CarryPorter, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What CarryPorter Is

CarryPorter is a peer-to-peer marketplace connecting travellers with spare luggage space ("Travellers") to people who want to send items or have items purchased and brought to them ("Senders"). CarryPorter facilitates these connections, identity verification, in-app communication, and payment — it does not itself transport, buy, or sell any goods.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use CarryPorter. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

3. Account and Verification

• Travellers must complete identity verification (KYC) via DigiLocker (masked Aadhaar) and PAN before listing a trip or accepting deals.
• Senders may optionally complete identity verification. Senders who do not are marked "not identity-verified" to Travellers, who are responsible for checking the Sender's identification and package contents at handoff.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it.

4. Listings, Requests, and Deals

• Travellers list trips with available capacity; Senders may request to send items via a Traveller's trip, post a "want-ad" for a route, or use "Buy & Bring" (asking a Traveller to purchase and bring an item).
• A deal is formed once a Sender's request is accepted by a Traveller (or vice versa).
• All items must comply with CarryPorter's prohibited items policy and applicable customs, airline, and legal restrictions. Users are solely responsible for ensuring items are legal to carry and transport.
• Handoff and delivery are confirmed using a two-step OTP verification process at pickup and delivery.

5. Payments, Fees, and Refunds

• Payments are processed via Razorpay. CarryPorter charges a commission (currently 10% plus applicable GST) on completed deals.
• Funds are held in escrow until delivery is confirmed via OTP.
• Refunds are processed manually by CarryPorter support, typically within 5–7 working days. Razorpay's current setup in India does not support automated refunds or payouts.
• If a Sender cancels after payment, a cancellation fee/policy may apply as shown in-app at the time of cancellation, and any applicable refund will cover the carry fee only, subject to the reason for cancellation.
• If a trip expires or a Traveller cannot complete a pickup for reasons outside the Sender's control, the deal is automatically closed and does not count against the Traveller's cancellation reputation.

6. Conduct and Chat Moderation

• In-app chat is monitored by an AI-based moderation system to detect attempts to bypass the platform (e.g., sharing outside contact details before a deal is confirmed), harassment, or other prohibited conduct.
• You agree not to use CarryPorter to transport prohibited, illegal, or dangerous items, or to circumvent the platform's fee, verification, or safety processes.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, harass other users, or attempt to defraud the platform or other users.

7. Reporting and Blocking

CarryPorter provides in-app tools to report inappropriate behavior and to block other users. Reports are reviewed by our team, and we may take action including warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.

8. Disclaimers

• CarryPorter is a platform connecting independent Travellers and Senders. We are not a courier, freight, or logistics company, and we do not inspect, insure, or guarantee any item carried through the platform.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of any user's listing, identity claims (beyond completed KYC status), or the condition, legality, or value of any item.
• Use of the platform, including any handoff arrangement, is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarryPorter and Travelcafe Travel and Visa Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of items, delays, or disputes between users, arising from use of the App.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by emailing support@carryporter.in to request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or at our discretion to protect the safety of the platform.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of CarryPorter after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be notified via the app or email.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Gurgaon, Haryana.
